Job Description
The Research Lab Manager for the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) at Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) – Orange Park is a full‑time position responsible for the day‑to‑day management and oversight of the Research laboratories. Responsibilities
Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and the community at large Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students Work closely with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Research, Research Director(s) and other Faculty and students Maintain laboratory supplies by acquiring quotes, creating purchase requests, placing orders, and tracking shipments Place service requests and schedule preventative maintenance of all equipment Coordinate with the campus safety officer on rules, regulations, record keeping and storage of chemicals associated with the DCOM – Orange Park research facilities Oversee safety and security checklists and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment Assure observance of quality control management Assist in maintaining day‑to‑day usage and responsibilities for the Laboratory Spaces and associated areas at the research building Assist in performing experiments using techniques such as ELISA, bacterial culture, microscopy, PCR, flow cytometry, and maintenance of cell lines in culture Prepare media, solutions, and reagents; routine autoclave sterilization; periodic cleaning of equipment and refrigerators Provide support and/or assistance for manuscript and grant writing as appropriate Assure that students understand the proper care for the Research Building and the importance of a quality work environment Duties as assigned Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in biology or related field Prior experience in a research laboratory setting Preferred Qualifications
