Emergency Medicine Physician

Emergency Medicine coverage needed at a community hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida , starting soon.

This is a physician-only EM role with solid volume, strong support, and predictable scheduling. Best fit is an ABEM/ABOEM-trained EM physician who is open to mixed shifts , including nights.

• 30,000 annual ED visits

• 2.0 2.2 patients per hour

• Admission rate 25%

• Transfer rate 2% (primarily trauma, neurosurgery, pediatrics)

• Hospitalists manage admissions

• APP coverage daily (varies by weekday/weekend)

• 6a 3p

• 1p 10p

• 9p 6a

• Mixed shifts required, with overnight coverage needed

• ABEM or ABOEM only

• EM residency trained

• Florida license or IMLC

• Open to mixed shifts, including nights

• Recruiting outside a 50-mile radius of Port Charlotte

• No overtime rate

• Reduced orientation rate

• Stable coverage need with multiple physicians required
