Support Center - Irving. The Staff Product Manager is a high-performing, experienced individual contributor with strong organizational savvy, interpersonal and negotiation skills that can provide strong leadership, product planning and product vision that delivers against the company’s OKR/KPI. The Staff Product Manager leads development of a product domain strategy, with strategic planning for product domain portfolio inclusive of dependencies from other teams.

Major Activities How you use Technology to help our Customers...

Create new metrics to measure customer insights, as needed

Form a holistic and global understanding of the end-to-end customer experience based on a synthesis from multiple sources

Propose and evaluate product changes in other domains based on a holistic understanding of the end-to-end customer experience

Push for solutions that test the boundaries of industry trends and anticipate customer needs

Set priorities for multiple projects

Ensure front-end product design is successful

Ability to write scripts for demos and demonstrate onstage product features

Identify patterns in complex datasets and develops practical modes

How you\'ll make an impact...

Develop a global product domain strategy (project level)

Plan product launches considering the overall Michaels product/tech roadmaps, retail industry, calendar anticipated customer reactions, etc.

Drive product lifecycle from requirement definitions, research, UX/UI designs, establishing KPIs, technical specs, and development, to launch activities and post-launch metrics analysis and iterations.

Create opportunity assessments and global ROI calculations for proposed strategies in their domain

Identify corner cases astutely

Steer technical designs toward architectural patterns and high reliability

Understand and manage risks and dependencies

Deliver high-quality products with upfront risk assessments and mitigation strategies

Lead data analysis for their domain

Evaluate global impact by creating a hypothesis, executing tests, and analyzing results

Who you\'ll be working with...

Collaborate with product development and engineering team leads and engineering to consistently manage multiple products to planned milestones with high quality

Actively track key milestones across multiple programs and maintain accountability for cross-functional teams

Collaborate across boundaries to build strategic relationships and achieve common goals

Work collaboratively with Business Team and manage expectations of scope and requirements

How you\'ll lead and influence others...

Drives adoption of best practices across the organization.

Champion change agent for continous improvement

Ability to lead and build customer engagements and relationships

Resolve cross-organizational conflict without escalation.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or Business

Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills

Experience in taking a product from ideation to execution and successful delivery.

Demonstrated ability to build out and establish an agile digital product practice in collaboration with UX and Engineering

Fluent in navigating Atlassian products, such as JIRA for ticket workflow and Confluence for documentation and requirements gathering, etc.

Excellent technical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an engaging presentation style

Experience in communication to VP and C+ level: Tech, Business, Finance/Corp

Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires

6-7 years of product management experience in a related industry (digital / e-commerce is preferred)

Other

Exceptional customer service, listening, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

Have a solid understanding of how core technologies are utilized in their product domain and are fluent in the pros and cons of technical alternatives
