What You’ll Do

Responsible for providing superior customer service, on-time service delivery and maximizing profitability for a higher revenue dedicated account with approximately 30+ trucks and/or 30+ drivers. Position can be located onsite at a customer’s location or a USX designated location. Responsibilities include driver, office and customer issues and building a partnership between the customer and USX. Manages all aspects (e.g., resolving complaints, payroll, home time, terminations) related to drivers and office employees and ensures all company policies & procedures are adhered to. Account Manager II has a broader scope on higher revenue accounts, with potential increases in loads, trucks, and drivers. Ensures all fleet maintenance programs are current on tractors and trailers. Develops a sense of trust and integrity with the customer. Tracks shipments via a weekly service report. Actively engages with necessary USX departments (e.g., billing) to ensure smooth operation for the dedicated account. Reviews all credit collection and aging reports to improve cash flow. Ensures equipment and drivers are in place to provide on-time service and meet customer demands. Analyzes volume figures to forecast surges in business. Manages document control related to the account. Seeks guidance from leadership on matters that could negatively impact USX financially. Rotational off-site on-call duty, nights/weekends. Assists Regional Operations Manager when out of the office and with account-wide projects as needed. Provides support when other Account Managers are out of the office or when positions are being filled.

What We’re Looking For

Education Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience required. Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested. Experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience in logistics. Minimum of 3 years’ leadership experience required; coaching for higher performance experience preferred. Understanding of the distribution process required for success. Skills/Certifications Proficient interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills; ability to exchange information effectively and tactfully, strong diplomacy to guide, influence and convince others, active listening to negotiate with others (often at a senior level). Advanced computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office (Excel), Internet and company-specific applications. Excellent analytical skills; able to think creatively. Knowledge of regulations impacting daily operations (DOT hours of service). Taking initiative and assertiveness skills.
