Job Description Summary This position is responsible for the distribution of medical supplies, linen, and equipment (where applicable) and ensuring items are accurately identified and maintained in a clean and consistent manner to ensure ease of access by clinical staff for appropriate patient care.
Responsibilities
Ensure breakdown/staging of unit‑specific product occurs according to the designated schedule.
Validate correct product/quantity received via pack slips, deliver, and replenish supplies, linens, and equipment to designated areas based on routine schedules or by special request.
Complete STAT orders in accordance with the requester timeline and the communicated response.
Use proper powered and/or manual material handling devices for safe movement of supplies, linen, and equipment.
Place unit/location‑specific orders with required technology (e.g., handheld technology) and predetermined inventory methodology.
Report errors and discrepancies through the appropriate chain of command.
Responsible for product rotation and expiration date management.
Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow cleaning schedules and direction per department leadership.
Travel between sites when working in the Freestanding Emergency Department Network.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (Required).
Basic math and computer skills.
Understand financial impacts related to supply chain functions.
Ability to work in a moderately paced, ever‑changing environment.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
