ABOUT THE ROLE
The Tax Preparation Case Manager supports clients through the tax preparation and tax resolution process by collecting, reviewing, and organizing all required tax documentation. This role requires a solid understanding of common tax forms and income types, including W-2s, 1099s, prior-year tax returns, IRS notices, business income, and property or asset sales.
You’ll manage a dedicated caseload, proactively move files forward, and maintain consistent client communication to ensure accurate, timely submission of tax documents.

HOW YOU'LL BE REWARDED

Base pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour (full-time, 40 hours per week) Monthly Bonus:
Average bonus potential of $1,500 - $3,000
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Request, collect, and review tax documentation including W-2s, 1099s, prior-year returns, IRS notices, and business income records Identify missing or inconsistent information and follow up with clients in a timely manner Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the document collection and preparation phase Clearly explain documentation requirements, timelines, and next steps Maintain accurate and detailed case notes, document status, and follow-ups within the CRM Track deadlines and ensure cases move efficiently through each stage Coordinate with tax preparers and internal teams once files are complete
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE
CTEC certification is a highly preferred Tax relief or tax resolution experience is a plus; training will be provided. Experience in tax document coordination, tax preparation support, or a similar administrative role Working knowledge of common tax forms (W-2s, 1099s, prior-year returns) Experience supporting self‑employed individuals, business owners, or clients with property sales is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast‑paced environment Experience using CRM or document management systems
