By joining the Cardiology team as an RN Ambulatory Team Lead, you will interact with daily operations in the cardiology suite, manage staffing for Suites 101 and 502, investigate and resolve patient issues, and answer calls from referring physicians to schedule patients. As a patient liaison, you will help schedule diagnostic testing in critical diagnosis situations, reducing stress due to potential delays. This role offers a steppingstone into higher level leadership positions.
Responsibilities
Provide professional nursing care to a specific patient population in various ambulatory settings.
Assist in providing clinical oversight to assigned employees and patients to ensure quality and safe care.
Coordinate and resolve daily operational issues in the specified clinical area.
Work as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety initiatives.
Facilitate orientation, teaching, coaching and mentoring of assigned caregivers.
Assist in the preparation of department-specific education for patients and colleagues.
Participate in quality initiatives, process improvement and research activities to improve patient outcomes, patient experience and patient safety.
Collaborate with care coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transition of care.
May travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures in various locations.
Minimum qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through the American Red Cross within six months of hire
Two years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience
Cardiac experience
Physical requirements
Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
May require some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
Light work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
Requires walking or standing for significant periods; may involve pushing/pulling and fast-paced activities.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Pay range Minimum hourly: $31.50 Maximum hourly: $49.90
