Who You Are: The Maintenance Mechanic reports to the Maintenance Manager. This member of the Distribution Center team performs facility and conveyor system maintenance. The individual must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and safely complete tasks in a timely manner.
What You'll Do:
A Level III Mechanic is expected to have a sound understanding of electrical, mechanical and electronic components.
Performs repairs on complex electrical, mechanical and electronic components
Performs assembly and testing of complex electrical, mechanical and electronic components
Very knowledgeable in documentation of repairs, PMs, and projects using CMMS system
Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them
Assists in design, build and install of minor conveyor customization
Track belts, troubleshoot motors, reducers, and conveyor issues
Experienced working and troubleshooting PLC, VFD, Control Cabinets & WCS
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and all other conveyor system components.
Conduct daily system walks and identifies potential issues
Follows all maintenance safety programs, for example, lock-out/tag-out, Hot Work, Fall Protection
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Performs general building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, painting, and mechanical.
Essential Skills:
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and all other related systems.
Knowledgeable of conveyor systems
Experienced working with CMMS systems to track work orders & PMs
Experienced using various types of meters and diagnostic equipment
Experience working with Sort Director, GSMI or other conveyor related systems
Well versed reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and other written directions.
Experienced working with computers and MS Suite of programs
Proficient with manual and electric hand tools.
MIG Welding
Capable of operating lift equipment.
Capable of troubleshooting any applicable building systems.
Requirements:
5+ years of distribution center maintenance experience.
Electrical troubleshooting on conveyor systems
Conveyor automation experience PLC or computer-based systems
HS diploma or equivalent
Must be able to work varied schedules and weekends, as needed
