Job Title Registration Rep – Supplemental/PRN (Osseo)

Location Mayo Clinic – Eau Claire location and, as needed, other Mayo Clinic sites.

Responsibilities

Accurately check‑in, admit, and register patients in hospital or ED settings (in‑person, phone, or virtual).

Verify patient demographics, collect insurance data, create or identify appropriate accounts, and obtain signatures.

Provide required forms or letters, assist with self‑registration, and collect indicated co‑payments/share of cost.

Ensure patient safety through positive identification protocols and obtain required consents.

Assist patients with hospital presumptive eligibility or Medicaid applications when appropriate.

Walk to patients’ locations throughout the emergency department and hospital to facilitate registration.

Maintain adherence to quality assurance guidelines and established productivity standards.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor’s degree required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Basic computer/keyboarding skills; intermediate math competency.

Knowledge of proper phone etiquette and handling skills.

Preferred: prior desk, appointment, or secretarial experience and working knowledge of scheduling systems.

Preferred: experience with Epic RC/EMR system; Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) certification preferred.

Additional Information

Exemption Status: Nonexempt

Compensation: $20.92 – $27.18 per hour

Benefits Eligible: No

Schedule: Part‑time, 8‑hour shifts (6 a.m. – 2 p.m. and/or 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.).

Employees expected to work at least 8 hours per pay period; may be asked to cover shifts at Eau Claire location as needed.

Weekend Schedule: may be asked to work weekends or holidays as necessary.
