Morris Heights Health Center (MHHC) is seeking a Director of Behavioral Health to provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership across our integrated Behavioral Health continuum, serving children, adolescents, and adults in both Article 28 and Article 31 settings.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a licensed clinical professional who understands community-based care, regulatory excellence, and team-driven clinical outcomes and who is ready to lead at scale.
What You’ll Do
Provide enterprise-wide oversight of Behavioral Health services across multiple sites
Lead and supervise clinical and non‑clinical staff, including LCSWs, LMSWs and Clinical supervisors
Ensure compliance with NYS OMH, Article 31 & Article 28 regulatory standards
Partner with Medical, Operations, and Executive Leadership on integrated care initiatives
Strengthen psychiatry access, clinical workflows, staff development, and quality outcomes
Serve as a clinical thought partner to Primary Care providers, including crisis consultation
Drive policy development, program innovation, and continuous quality improvement
What We’re Looking For
LCSW (NYS Licensed) required | SIFI certification preferred
Graduate degree from an accredited School of Social Work
5+ years of progressive leadership experience in Behavioral Health
Strong knowledge of OMH, Article 31/28, and healthcare regulatory environments
Experience in FQHCs or safety‑net settings strongly preferred
Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
