North Lake Supply is seeking a skilled and safety-focused
Extraction Technician
to support our
BHO extraction, post-processing, and lab production operations . This role is critical to producing high-quality cannabis concentrates while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols, SOPs, and state regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with hydrocarbon extraction systems, a strong understanding of lab safety, and a detail-oriented mindset suited for regulated manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and assist with
BHO (butane) extraction systems
in accordance with SOPs and safety standards
Perform
post-processing techniques
including solvent recovery, purging, whipping, nucleation, and consistency refinement
Monitor extraction parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rates) to ensure optimal yield and quality
Accurately document
batch records, production logs, and extraction data
Assist with
lab equipment setup, breakdown, cleaning, and maintenance
Maintain a
clean, organized, and compliant lab environment
Follow all
hazardous materials handling , PPE, and fire safety protocols
Support product transfers into downstream production (vape, infused pre-rolls, etc.)
Collaborate with production, quality, and compliance teams to meet output goals
Assist with troubleshooting extraction or post-processing issues as needed
Qualifications
Prior experience with
hydrocarbon (BHO) extraction
strongly preferred
Familiarity with closed-loop extraction systems and recovery pumps
Understanding of lab safety, fire suppression systems, and hazardous material handling
Ability to follow SOPs precisely in a regulated environment
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes
Must meet all state requirements for employment in the cannabis industry
Preferred (But Not Required)
Experience with solventless or alternative extraction methods
Familiarity with post-processing equipment (vacuum ovens, chillers, centrifuges, etc.)
Background in chemistry, lab sciences, or manufacturing
Previous experience in GMP, food, pharmaceutical, or cannabis labs
