Position Summary We are seeking Aerospace Engineer candidates at various levels to support the Decision Support Division of the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC). The selected candidate will work at the Space and Missile Defense Center of Excellence, supporting operational planning and analysis execution through data mining, wargaming, modeling and simulation, and advanced defense technology assessments. What You’ll Do Design, construct, and test aerospace systems, including missiles, spacecraft, and defense technologies. Conduct research to evaluate material adaptability, develop advanced engineering solutions, and recommend improvements in testing methodologies. Support modeling & simulation, wargaming, and operational analysis, ensuring aerospace systems meet mission‑critical defense requirements. Collaborate with military stakeholders, defense agencies, and research teams to enhance space superiority, missile defense, and high‑altitude capabilities. Travel to Huntsville, AL; Colorado Springs, CO; and the National Capital Region as required for meetings, exercises, and collaboration. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering; 3–10 years experience in aerospace system design, testing, and defense technology development. Certifications such as Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), SpaceTEC Aerospace Manufacturing, or GD&T Professional desirable; essential skills include structural analysis, propulsion systems, aerodynamics, and proficiency in M&S tools.
