Position Summary This position performs diagnostic computerized tomography (CT) scanning procedures to produce consistently high quality examinations in accordance with all applicable standards, regulations, and licensing requirements.
Position Duties
Receives supervision from the Manager, Radiology and does not supervise any other position.
Assists in training imaging students and provides CT safety lectures to hospital staff.
Maintains professional and technical competency through continual knowledge improvement.
Participates in evaluation and development of new procedures, protocols, and quality improvement initiatives.
Performs diagnostic CT scanning procedures, ensuring optimal positioning and technique.
Finalizes functions including limited coding using the Radiology Information System (RIS) and archives records per Radiologist specifications.
Performs regular equipment calibration, maintenance, identifies malfunctions, and reports service needs.
Provides CT safety information and lectures to patients and families.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications
Education: Successful completion of a JRCERT-approved radiologic program.
Experience: One year radiology experience; preferred one-year pediatric imaging experience.
Licenses & Registrations: Current Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency MRTBE license; current ARRT registration in CT (must obtain within 1 year); BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
Required Certifications: AZ Radiology License or AZ Cert Rad Tech, Basic Life Support, Amer Reg of Radiologic Tech (preferred).
Physical Requirements & Occupational Exposure
Climbing – Occasionally; Fine Motor Skills – Constantly; Hearing – Constantly; Reaching – Constantly; Standing – Constantly; Lift up to 35 pounds – Constantly.
Occupational Exposure – Radiation exposure applicable; Hazardous materials exposure applicable; Bloodborne pathogens applicable.
