Location & Schedule In this position you can expect to work on site and will report to a centralized location and parking is provided.
Shift: Monday–Friday 7:30 am–3:30 pm (details discussed in interview)
Shifts are not guaranteed and are subject to change
Participation in snow duty removal is mandatory October–May (details discussed in interview)
Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, maintenance and repair work on all plumbing systems and fixtures in accordance with agency or department standards and code requirements
Install or alter new or upgraded plumbing systems and fixtures for construction, tenant finishing or remodeling according to diagram specifications and code requirements
Respond to plumbing service or trouble calls, troubleshoot and provide problem resolution
Perform plumbing camera scope work regularly to determine infrastructure needs
Inspect, maintain and repair various types of fire protection systems
Maintain, test and install devices for the prevention of backflow, back siphonage or cross connection
Maintain records and prepare daily activity reports
Estimate materials, labor and equipment costs
Assist in the maintenance and repair work in a variety of skilled trades areas
Participate in mandatory snow removal duties

Will to work in environments that may include individuals experiencing homelessness (e.g., warming shelters during extreme weather)
Experience installing, diagnosing and repairing pumps, sewer mains/lines, lift stations, fire protection systems
Experience working with heating water systems, including Domestic Cold to Hot, Domestic Cold to Heating Water and Domestic Cold to Steam configurations
Emphasis on creating a proactive approach to all plumbing systems to ensure no disruptions in a 24/7 Public Safety Facility
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduation from high school or possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
Experience: One (1) year of journeyman‑level plumber experience maintaining, repairing and constructing plumbing systems and equipment
Licensure: Valid Driver's License at the time of application
Licensure: Valid Commercial Journeyman Plumber License issued by the State of Colorado at the time of application
Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment
