The Engineering Records Technician II maintains the company's Engineering and Certification data in accordance with the document control procedures and processes. This position retrieves and distributes engineering drawings; updates engineering library and tracking of materials; maintains document control logs; assists with creating drawings; and performs various administrative responsibilities for Engineering team members. The Technician demonstrates a high level of commitment to customer service and satisfaction; and accepts responsibility, demonstrates initiative, teamwork and attention to detail, and projects a professional image consistent with the company's mission, values and goals.
Essential Job Functions
Accurately maintains paper and electronic engineering data in accordance with established Engineering Document Control procedures. Distributes and retrieves engineering drawings to Engineering and production team members as required.
Maintains document control logs and routing files for engineering communique, processes, STC's, in-house drawings, etc. Assembles STC files and issues Duncan Aviation STC's, as needed.
Maintains engineering library by tracking engineering materials and timely updating of library with current manual revisions.
Assist with creating drawings of avionics equipment installations and/or interior assemblies/ installations using drafting techniques and tools, and by developing and utilizing knowledge of the company's service, materials, products, and equipment capabilities and limitations.
Provides administrative support for Engineering team members and serves as engineering liaison to other departments. Assists with identifying and establishing Best Practices and preferred processes. Supports special projects as assigned.
Responds to requests from internal and external customers for document control and re‑issuance of Duncan Engineering data.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Previous experience using Auto Cad and SolidWorks programs and/or engineering drafting experience preferred
Proficiency with database entry, MS Office, Lotus Notes, Adobe Acrobat, AS400 and SmarTeam
