Position Summary The Squeak and Rattle Engineer is part of the Vehicle Engineering NVH team and will be responsible for leading squeak and rattle development throughout the phases of the Ford vehicle design and development process.
Responsibilities
Lead squeak and rattle through analytical development phases by working with respective functional engineering teams to meet requirements
On site, hands on, root cause of vehicle level squeak and rattle issues found during prototype development and work with respective functional engineering teams to resolve
Work with respective functional engineering teams to document lessons learned
Develop and execute appropriate Design Verification Plan
Clearly communicate with management team
As needed, provide direct support for cost savings action evaluations
As needed, provide direct support for vehicle quality actions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
1-3+ of professional work experience in Engineering
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Experience with CAD based systems visualization (3DExperience or Teamcenter Visualization preferred)
Preferred 3 years of experience in Vehicle Engineering, Squeak and Rattle or Automotive Part Design
Preferred data acquisition hardware and software knowledge (i.e. Head Acoustics, LMS)
