Diesel Mechanic/Technician – Bosselman Enterprises

Pay & Compensation Pay range:
$15.00 - $32.00 per hour DEQ plus $8.00 billed hour commission.

Responsibilities
Performs PM’s and oil changes
Greases trucks and trailers
Performs tire services
Conducts CSA/DOT inspections
Handles service calls and night callouts
Conducts intermediate to advanced electrical repair and diagnoses failures
Completes intermediate to advanced wheel‑end repair (S‑cam/bushing replacement, spindle repairs, race and bearing replacement, wheel seals, etc.)
Performs intermediate air system repair (basic diagnostics, tank replacement, air bags, leveling valves, dash valves, etc.)
Conducts basic HVAC repair (evacuate & recharge, verify cause of failure)
Completes basic coolant repairs (thermostat, water pump, hoses, fittings, radiator, etc.)
Performs basic welding
Conducts basic starting/charging diagnostics (batteries, alternators, starters, etc.)
Completes basic engine repair (belts, tensioners, pulleys)
Performs basic steering/suspension work (shocks, reservoirs, filters, alignment, etc.)
Performs basic drivetrain and transmission repairs (clutch adjustments, U‑joints, carrier bearings, etc.)
Maintains shop cleanliness and organization
Ensures all service equipment is in good working order and repaired when needed
Stores all parts, tires, and accessories properly
Completes work orders accurately for warranty purposes
Ensures total customer satisfaction and upholds Bosselman’s integrity
Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures
Completes OSHA Skills Demonstration within the first week of employment
Stays current on all LMS training
Provides friendly and competent customer service
Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled
Additional Duties
Assists in other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
Tire Service Certified by TIA within 18 months of employment
Air Brake Certification
DOT Medical Card required at Bosselman Enterprises
Minimum two years experience as a diesel technician
Minimum Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and insurable to drive
Completion of brake training
Completion of wheel seal training
Ability to attend HVAC, Electrical, and DOT training
Ability to obtain ASE, DOT, TIA, and other certifications
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and as needed
Reliable transportation and phone
English communication skills (if applicable)
Friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service
Cooperative teamwork skills
Proficiency required by Tech I training program
Physical Requirements
Occasional lifting or moving of up to 75 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, using hands and fingers, handling or feeling, reaching, talking and hearing; occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
