Golden State Foods invites applications for a Production Associate (3rd Shift) at KanPak in Arkansas City, KS. The role is part of a 24/7, 7-day operation with the 3rd Shift running 10:00 p – 6:00 a. Flexibility for weekends, holidays, and overtime is required.
Job Summary Production associates are responsible for the product coming off the line from the time it is filled until it has been boxed and stacked onto pallets, ready to go to the warehouse for storage.
Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate quality activities to meet objectives for quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, cost, safety, and customer satisfaction at KanPak.
Participate in short- and long-term business growth goals.
Load bundles of boxes into machines, operate labeler and ink‑jet printer, operate box erector and case packer, load pallets onto conveyors, stack cases on pallets.
Use wrenches, pallet jacks, and manually clean equipment.
Maintain good housekeeping and overall cleanliness of products and work areas.
Contribute to excellence with a positive and flexible attitude.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Graduate / GED (required).
2‑3 years’ experience or equivalent employment preferred.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lb, occasionally carry up to 100 lb, and use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
Occasional requirement to climb stairs/steps.
Good vision: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
