The Department of Surgery at the University of Virginia (UVA) invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level in the Division of Transplant Surgery. Rank and tenure status will be determined by qualifications. The successful candidate will join a highly productive and expanding abdominal transplant program dedicated to the surgical management of patients requiring complex multi‑organ transplantation. Responsibilities

Evaluation, operative management, and longitudinal care of patients undergoing liver, kidney, pancreas, and multi‑organ transplantation. Surgical management of end‑stage organ disease and transplant‑related complications. Emphasis on excellence in deceased and living donor surgery, advanced immunosuppression management, and participation in innovative approaches to organ preservation and allocation. Active participation in medical student, resident, and transplant surgery fellow education, with opportunities to contribute to curriculum development and mentorship. Robust clinical, translational, and outcomes research opportunities supported by strong institutional infrastructure. Qualifications

MD with board certification in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. Completed fellowship training in Abdominal Transplant Surgery; certified or eligible for certification by the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS). Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in Virginia. Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Substantial experience in liver, kidney, pancreas, and multiorgan transplantation. Commitment to academic medicine, teaching, scholarly activity, innovation, quality improvement, and advancement of transplant surgery. Benefits & Location
