Responsibilities
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you help patients get their power back. You help people communicate, swallow, and work to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. You design and deliver rehab plans, and collaborate with patients to execute those plans. You address the whole patient, design programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance speech and communication abilities, and adapt to various settings and needs. You may perform equipment cleaning, reporting, and participate in meetings. You collaborate with peers and refer to other clinicians to ensure comprehensive patient care. You act as a teacher, training patients and caregivers to promote independence and productivity. If this sounds like you, we’d love to meet you!
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a closely related field, acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Licensed, certified, or credentialed as required in the state of practice.
