Our client is a 1500‑person manufacturing company, looking to add an Accountant to their team, with a successful track record of growth for the past 20 years. This is a great opportunity for the candidate to work closely with company management (CFO, controller, President, and others) on Finance & Accounting data.
Job Description – Accountant
The Accountant will support the accounting team with financial operations, including general ledger, journal entries, and preparation of financial reports.
Assist with budget planning, cost tracking, and performance analysis across multiple departments within the manufacturing environment.
Prepare and post journal entries; reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Support budget planning and track financial data for various departments.
Perform financial analysis, including budget‑to‑actual, cost, and variance analysis.
Compile and present financial data using Microsoft Excel, including charts and reports for management review.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Desired Skills – Accountant
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; internships, co‑ops, or key projects in accounting/finance are a plus.
0–5 years of work experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related business roles.
Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, trend analysis, formulas).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute in a cross‑functional team environment.
