Roles & Responsibilities

Visit the client at home or in the community to provide relief to caregivers and holistic support to youth.

Work 2-20 hours weekly in 2-4 hour shifts starting after 3:00pm during the school year and as early as 8:30am during the summer. Services are available any day of the week to accommodate client scheduling needs.

Individual Support Plan development and implementation.

Delivery and monitoring of behavior analysis services.

Submit weekly clinical progress notes within 24 hours of service provision.

Conduct intake data assessments.

Collect and display data (e.g., graphics) as authorized by a recipient’s behavioral analysis service plan.

Comply with service authorization, including time frames and service hours.

Implement interventions in the Individual Support Plan.

Implement behavioral procedures for the acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors.

Carry out treatment as designated by the supervising behavior analyst, including: facilitating environmental arrangements, using proactive strategies, teaching and developing new skills, managing specific consequences for behavior based on function.

Work with child or youth to increase ADL (Assisted Daily Living) skills within their home as well as during community outings.

Assist parent/guardian in implementation of the treatment plan.

Assist the behavior analyst in training caregivers and/or staff.

Handle crisis prevention, recognition, and intervention.

Ensure all agency policies are implemented and followed.

Qualifications

Must have completed free CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification course or be able to complete within 6 months of hire.

Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or related field.

2-4 years experience in behavioral healthcare (maladaptive behaviors).

2-4 years experience working with children with disabilities (developmental/intellectual disabilities, mental illness).

Valid NJ Driver’s license and proof of car insurance.

Consent to and pass State/Federal Criminal Background Checks.

Bilingual.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
