Description Leidos has an immediate opening for a Senior Systems / Network Administrator to support critical SMIT contract initiatives based in Quantico, VA, contributing to enterprise network modernization efforts. The Service Management, Integration, and Transport - Marine Corps Enterprise Network (SMIT-MCEN) modernizes and consolidates the Marine Corps' shore-based networks into a single, secure enterprise environment supporting over 200,000 Marines and civilian users worldwide. SMIT-MCEN is the largest IT services program for the Navy. The Senior Systems / Network Administrator will oversee the operation of network systems, architecture, and topology through deployment and oversight of network operations specialists. The qualified candidate could also perform asset scanning and logging of assets that have been delivered in accordance with established Government directives for both Lab and Production assets. As a member of the Leidos team, you will assist in the delivery of the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Responsibilities

Provide centralized, 24/7 support for Active Directory and networking issues within the MCEN-N/S environment. Manage administrative account creation, account transfers, and spillage resolution in compliance with security protocols. Mitigate malicious email threats and maintain secure SIPR VTC tunnel operations. Support tactical configuration needs in unclassified environments and oversee transport account management. Perform IOS reloads, troubleshoot account access issues, and promptly resolve connectivity losses. Process and resolve service requests through the MCEN Remedy ticketing system, handling an average of 50 tickets daily and approximately 2,000 annually per technician. Collaborate closely with onsite local technicians who resolve approximately 90% of issues promptly, minimizing operational downtime. Document lessons learned and lead continuous improvement efforts by identifying and mitigating network vulnerabilities. Maintain current certifications and stay informed on emerging threats and IT advancements to ensure ongoing network readiness and compliance. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. US Citizen with an active DOD Top Secret clearance Ten (10) years of IT experience including monitoring Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and NAT. Ten (10) years of experience within Active Directory / Exchange; monitoring / adding / troubleshooting accounts. At least 3 years of experience working with Remedy or a similar ticketing system. Must possess an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification and a Security X certification. Note : The original posting date is January 5, 2026. Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
