Position Information
Position Title: ECA Assistant Department: Early College Academy Appointment Term: Academic Year (August - May) FLSA: Non-Exempt
Job Summary
ECA Student Assistant will support dual-credit students on campus and assist in general supervision of the ECA Designated Space.
Essential Duties
Assist students with general questions during on‑campus ECA Academic Lab hours
Help maintain cleanliness of ECA space and equipment during scheduled shifts
Perform basic technology troubleshooting; collaborate with on‑campus departments as needed
Oversee distribution of print handouts, materials, and resources
Collaborate on special projects/events as requested
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
MWSU Student
Currently seeking a degree
Maintain an overall 2.0 GPA or higher
Enrolled at least part‑time (6 hours)
Qualify for Federal Work Study financial aid assistance
Preferred Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Confidence and ability to work 1:1 with current ECA students
Ability to respond to guided supervision and collaborate as necessary
Physical Demands
Work is mainly sedentary with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds. The position involves sitting most of the time.

Federal Work Study required hours: 10–20 hours per week Schedule to be determined Desired start date: September 1, 2025
