Opportunity The Compensation Senior Analyst supports the compensation function in the design, implementation, and ongoing management of general or specific compensation programs, systems, and initiatives. The role focuses on operational support by managing compensation systems, reporting, and tools, serving as a subject matter expert across data and reporting needs, and acting as project manager for annual compensation processes.
What You Will Do
Collaborate with HR Services on systems workflow, integration, support, UAT testing, analyses and report writing.
Make cohesive recommendations to drive process improvements in compensation reporting, analyses, workflows and program delivery.
Design, develop, implement and maintain consolidated analysis and reporting across region, businesses, and divisions.
Partner with Finance on forecasting, analyzing, reporting and modeling employee related data, including accrual analysis of annual incentives.
Create and deliver training materials for HR and Managers on compensation systems.
Support and guide the Compensation team on enterprise‑wide initiatives, development of tools, risk assessments and reporting, and processes such as the annual review process, compensation survey participation, salary structure development, and job data integrity.
Lead HR system preparation for the annual review process, including configuration, testing, validation and documentation.
Lead the annual process for the team’s participation in compensation surveys and analyze competitive salary information.
Formulate recommendations regarding company salary structure and geographical differential analysis.
Participate on projects related to compensation programs or systems, such as custom market studies, incentive proposals, and FLSA reviews.
Support day‑to‑day compensation activities (job documentation, evaluation, pay administration, adhoc requests, projects).
Audit jobs to ensure compliance with FLSA and other compensation laws and regulations.
Provide client group support as backup or lead, advising HR staff on a full range of compensation related programs.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements regarding colleague pay and stay up to date on related legislation.
Develop and maintain understanding of compensation practices and trends in the financial services industry.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in HR, preferably in a Compensation or HR Analytics or HR Systems role.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing systems, processes and/or projects.
High proficiency with HR systems and MS Office Excel, including pivot tables, formulas and functions.
Additional Qualifications
Strong knowledge of human resource principles and practices.
Comprehensive compensation experience in design and implementation of compensation programs.
Broad knowledge of market pricing, salary structure design, job evaluation, and analysis, preferably in a financial services environment.
Strong organizational, prioritization, project management and consulting skill set with ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong mathematical aptitude, analytical and problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, accuracy & confidentiality.
Strong communication skills: interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, and written.
Solid understanding of systems workflow, integration, support and UAT testing.
Advanced HRS skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.
Previous experience with HRS and UKG Compensation Management system preferred.
Previous experience with Pascale's Market pricing tool preferred.
Previous experience with JDXpert Job Repository tool preferred.
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
Compensation & Benefits Starting base salary: $77,000 - $143,000 per year, with bonus and/or commissions possible.
