Your Role The Associate will support the regional lead and director in facilitating stakeholders’ engagement with district and campus leadership, Education Service Centers, workforce partners, and institutions of higher education to ensure successful implementation of the College & Career Readiness School Models Blueprints and framework. The Associate will be primarily responsible for supporting projects within the College and Career Readiness portfolio and will also contribute to other organizational priorities as needed. The Associate will also play a supporting role in project management, RFP development and program report writing, reviewing, and documentation. This position is based in the Rio Grande Valley. Candidates must be willing to travel overnight (both in/out of state and in/out of region) up to 35% of the time.
What You’ll Do
Participate in the design, planning, and implementation of key activities to achieve programmatic goals and outcomes
Assist deputy directors and directors with project management of educational programs and contracts under the CCR Team, including:
Manage and track programmatic activities, progress, and milestones in project plan
Maintain and update project plans related to different programs and contracts
Communicate objectives to the network and potential partners
Support the synthesis and development of key learnings and outcomes for both grant reporting and communications (internal/external)
Engage with other parts of the organization (communications, development, policy, insights, finance) to ensure coordination of support functions
Support learning activities including data collection, analysis, and reporting
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify program indicators and outcomes that inform the success and impact of programs
Support the collaboration of Education Service Centers, higher education partners, workforce and economic development partners, and chambers of commerce to support district and campus needs throughout the region and across Texas
Provide evidence-based insights and recommendations for enhancing programmatic impact
Prepare and present key findings to a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Plan and support virtual, hybrid, or in-person programmatic conferences, convenings, and events in the region
Organizational Responsibilities
Provide project management and support for day-to-day operations
Support implementation of long-term strategy
Support subgrants, fundraising efforts, and communication pieces
Support preparation of project proposals and reporting
Experience you bring
Bachelor’s degree in education, public policy, applied social sciences, psychology, or related field
2 or more years of relevant experience
Strong project management skills
Detail-oriented, self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
Ability to communicate program findings
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
Strong written, presentation and verbal skills
Work effectively with a range of staff in a team-oriented environment with a positive, can-do attitude
Exhibit a high degree of professionalism, business judgment, tact and diplomacy
Excellent problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Texas’ and/or regions’ public education environment preferred
