Job Summary Lean Six Sigma Program Manager – Americas provides a common language, processes, and metrics across the enterprise which includes regular reviews of training materials and standards used to drive continuous improvement, and strives for operational excellence across all functional areas and processes by deploying Lean tools and Six Sigma principles. The Program Manager will play an active role in driving accelerated operating and financial performance through the development of the employees in the Lean Six Sigma programs. The selected candidate will work closely with the Program Director in the implementation and evolution of the overall Lean Six Sigma program at WFS. This position requires sound leadership, operations and productivity improvement knowledge, keen core finance and business acumen, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities Training Delivery
Conduct Green Belt training sessions for candidates in their respective regions, ensuring adherence to the standardized curriculum and training materials provided by the Master Black Belt.
Facilitate interactive and engaging training sessions to effectively transfer knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies, tools, and techniques to Green Belt students.
Provide guidance and support to students throughout their training, clarifying concepts, addressing questions, and offering real‑world examples.
Mentoring & Coaching
Serve as mentors to Green Belt students, guiding them through the DMAIC methodology and helping them apply Lean Six Sigma tools to their projects.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to Green Belts at regularly scheduled intervals, assisting them in project selection, data analysis, problem solving, and stakeholder management.
Share personal experiences and lessons learned to inspire and motivate Green Belts to drive continuous improvement within their areas of responsibility.
Project Oversight
Review project charters developed by Green Belt candidates, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, clarity of objectives, and feasibility of scope.
Monitor project progress through regular checkpoints, reviewing data analysis, problem solving efforts, and implementation plans.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
At least 4 years of experience in a full‑time CI or OpEx role.
Willing to certify candidates as Green Belts and Black Belts on behalf of WFS.
Comfortable interacting with and coaching individuals at various levels of an organization with the appropriate level of tact.
Strong organizational skills.
Extremely high level of integrity and confidentiality.
Occasional travel to different cities (≤ 25 % travel).
Preferred Skills
Previous experience teaching Lean Six Sigma certifications at any level.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office environment, with the potential for occasional work outdoors or in a warehouse. It requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
