DMV Operations Specialist
Tesla is seeking a dedicated operations specialist to enhance vehicle registration and paperwork processes for customers and Tesla-owned vehicles. The role operates Monday through Friday, collaborating with Sales, Delivery, and external partners to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with Sales and Delivery Specialists to verify completeness and accuracy of transaction documents.
Process DMV registrations for sales and Tesla-owned vehicles.
Record data and maintain quality in multiple record‑keeping systems, including WDO and online registration platforms.
Serve as an authoritative resource on regional vehicle tax and registration rules, monitoring changes and communicating updates promptly.
Participate in testing of new and updated forms and processes.
Support special projects as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
DMV experience preferred, but not mandatory.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently, think creatively, and execute with proven track record.
Adaptability to frequent changes with meticulous attention to detail under tight deadlines.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, based on activity volume.
Experience with multiple systems; knowledge of Dealertrack or DLRDMV is a plus.
