Job Summary Reporting to the Procurement manager this role will support Operations to ensure timely submission of purchase orders for on-time delivery of goods. At times will have to work with multiple suppliers based on availability and pricing.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare and submit purchase orders
Expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery
Resolve invoice and receipt discrepancies
Drive adoption of sourced programs
Arrange for the proper transportation of purchased products as needed
Support efforts to identify and evaluate new or alternative suppliers
Ensure suppliers are compliant with required insurance documentation
Collaborate and negotiate internally and externally
Ensure all activities within the procurement process are followed in accordance with best practice policies and procedures
Job Requirements
Experience with procurement tools, processes and systems preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
Mobility to attend various meetings and events at offsite locations
Hours are extended throughout the year to include nights and weekends when necessary
Travel may be required
Able to work effectively in a team environment
Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check
Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form to employees, management, and vendors
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Able to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, or controls
Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus
May require sitting for extended periods of time
Able to move/carry objects up to 25 lbs
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals, when outside normal working environment
The noise level in some areas of the work environment may be loud, but is typically moderate
