About The Job We are looking for a
Call Center Pharmacist (Full Time) . This is a 1st shift exempt position, office based at our Mount Laurel, New Jersey compounding pharmacy.
Responsibilities
Review prescriptions issued by a physician or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
Assist front‑end operations by handling customer calls and consultations, properly intake verbal prescription orders, and process new Rx/Refill requests.
Perform final quality checks of prescription orders prior to shipment in a timely and accurate manner.
Oversee and supervise pharmacy technicians engaged in compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
Answer questions and provide information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals.
Maintain procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
Enter data such as patient name, prescribed medication, and cost to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.
Assay medications to determine identity, purity, and strength.
Instruct personnel and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy.
Review and file compounding batch records.
Call physicians to clarify prescriptions when needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provide oversight and direction to pharmacy technicians and/or other pharmacy personnel.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.S., Pharmacy) or Pharm.D. from an accredited college or university.
At least one year of related experience as a compounding pharmacist preferred but not required.
Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
