Our financial client is seeking a
Project Manager
to lead high-visibility initiatives that improve operations, strengthen cross-team execution, and support business transformation across the firm. This role is responsible for guiding multiple projects simultaneously—bringing structure to complex work, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring initiatives move from concept through delivery with clarity and momentum.
This position collaborates closely with internal leaders and functional teams to evaluate incoming project requests, confirm feasibility and priority, and establish a clear delivery approach. The Project Manager will oversee planning, execution, resources, timelines, and project outcomes while supporting change adoption and continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Lead end-to-end execution of cross-functional business and technology initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered with quality, accountability, and measurable impact.
Partner with requesting teams and stakeholders to evaluate new requests, validate scope, and confirm alignment to business priorities and strategy.
Create and maintain project roadmaps and execution plans including milestones, dependencies, resourcing, and delivery timelines.
Provide direction, coordination, and oversight for business analyst support throughout all project phases.
Facilitate discovery sessions, workflow mapping, requirements refinement, and supporting documentation aligned to business objectives.
Coordinate readiness for testing and implementation, including test planning, test execution oversight, and support for defect triage and resolution.
Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies; recommend mitigation steps and ensure alignment across stakeholders on decisions and next steps.
Provide consistent reporting and executive-level communication regarding progress, blockers, risks, and recommended solutions.
Establish and maintain governance practices that promote transparency, accountability, and on-time delivery.
Conduct post-launch reviews to confirm outcomes against expectations and identify improvement opportunities.
Analyze workflows and data to identify opportunities where technology can better support business needs and execution.
Travel as needed (local, regional, and national) up to
50% , by car and/or air.
Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic leadership and hands‑on execution, with the ability to guide complex initiatives from definition through delivery. Successful candidates will demonstrate:
Relevant Industry Exposure:
Background in
Financial Services, Brokerage, Banking, or similar highly regulated environments
strongly preferred.
Hands‑On Ownership:
A delivery‑minded leader who actively drives work forward (not solely facilitating meetings or managing governance).
Enterprise Initiative Experience:
3+ years
leading or managing organization‑wide projects, including
business, compliance/regulatory, or client‑impacting efforts .
Execution‑Focused Approach:
Comfortable working on the projects directly to manage timelines, coordinate resources, and resolve roadblocks—supporting everything from troubleshooting to implementation support.
Testing & Quality Leadership:
Experience coordinating
test strategy, test planning, validation/UAT execution , and managing
issue triage
through resolution.
Decisive Problem Solver:
Able to make informed decisions to keep projects moving and remove barriers—not only escalating concerns but proactively addressing them.
Data & Process Analysis:
Strong analytical thinking and process improvement skills; working knowledge of
SQL and data analysis
tools is a plus.
High‑Impact Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across
executives, stakeholders, vendors, and cross‑functional teams .
Strong Organization & Documentation Discipline:
Proven ability to maintain project plans, documentation, risk tracking, stakeholder reporting, and governance updates with consistency and attention to detail.
Independent Leadership:
Comfortable operating with minimal oversight while mentoring and supporting less experienced team members when needed.
Education & Experience Requirements
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline
3–5 years of professional experience supporting or leading projects involving process design, business analysis, and project delivery
Experience producing business documentation, analysis artifacts, and structured test plans
Technical Proficiency:
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including
Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
Familiarity with SQL concepts and ability to run basic queries (preferred)
