Systems Engineer
– 6+ month contract, onsite Westlake, TX.
Pay: $58-$68 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
Support Enterprise Infrastructure by combining Operations Perfection with Development Experience to deliver services at high scale, high availability, and resilience using automation and Infrastructure Code.
Build reliability into the ecosystem by applying standard processes in Resiliency Engineering, Automation, and Observability.
Participate in on‑call rotation: one week every 6‑7 weeks.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s a plus) in a technology‑related field.
5+ years of experience in technology or related field.
Proven experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Catchpoint, etc., and building automation.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, uDeploy) and backend code.
Experience building and operating resilient platforms in Azure/AWS cloud environments.
Knowledge of cloud development (Azure or AWS) using Python, shell scripting, PowerShell; migration skills a plus.
Hands‑on experience with container orchestration, preferably Kubernetes.
Hands‑on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
Experience with ITSM tools (Client, ServiceNow) and ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
Observability tools: Splunk, Datadog for incident triage and RCA.
Financial domain experience.
Ability to conduct internal demos and presentations.
