Responsibilities
Create interactive web user interfaces in JavaScript.
Develop and deploy public‑ and school‑facing websites that are cross‑browser and cross‑platform friendly.
Provide technical advice and make recommendations to other team members.
Support ongoing development and drive new development for related underlying projects.
Collaborate with developers and database managers to build scalable, secure, and dynamic web tools for NYCPS staff.
Partner with DIIT, OPE teams, and others to create long‑term value, manage solution architecture, and ensure compliance with all standards, laws, and protocols.
Ensure site stability and manage technical execution of enhancements to support the Department’s goal of equity and improvement.
Develop, deploy, and support new interactive web tools using JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, Node.js, Flask, API, and Vue.js.
Manage code using GitHub repositories, perform code review, and maintain systems stability.
Generate data sets with SAS scripts and recommend new solution architectures where needed.
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience in JavaScript, Python, PHP, or other server‑side languages.
2+ years of experience with front‑end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js (Vue.js preferred).
2+ years of experience in HTML5 and CSS.2+ years of experience with RESTful API development and integration.
2+ years of experience with SQL (SAS preferred).
2+ years of experience developing and deploying web sites and applications.
2+ years of experience using and maintaining GitHub repositories.
2+ years of experience with modern web technologies.
2+ years of experience with mobile technology.
