Overview
DecisionPoint seeks a
Project Controller/Scheduler
to support a large-scale Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise IT program that modernizes, secures, and optimizes global defense information systems. The Project Controller/Scheduler will play a critical role in maintaining project governance and ensuring alignment of cost, schedule, and performance across multiple workstreams. This position supports program management in delivering timely, accurate insight into schedule health and performance trends.

Duties & Responsibilities The Project Controller/Scheduler will:
Develop, maintain, and optimize an
Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
that aligns with contract deliverables, milestones, and dependencies.
Track
Earned Value Management (EVM)
indicators to monitor cost, schedule, and performance trends.
Create and maintain
milestone dashboards , performance metrics, and executive-level visualizations for internal and customer reporting.
Coordinate with technical leads and task managers to ensure updates accurately reflect current project status and resource allocations.
Identify schedule risks, forecast slippages, and recommend mitigation strategies to program leadership.
Support
Program Management Reviews (PMRs) , Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, and customer briefings with timely data analysis and schedule status updates.
Maintain schedule data in compliance with DoD and agency-specific program management standards and ensure consistency across subordinate schedules.
Support delivery planning and reporting specific to CMA mission systems and service delivery activities, ensuring schedule integrity for high-visibility operational functions.
Qualifications Clearance Requirement
Must hold an active
Secret clearance .
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
Minimum
5 years of experience
supporting large-scale federal or defense programs in project control, scheduling, or cost/schedule analysis.
Technical Knowledge
Proficiency with
Microsoft Project ,
Primavera P6 , or equivalent scheduling tools.
Experience with
Earned Value Management (EVM)
and schedule performance reporting.
Strong analytical and visualization skills with experience using Excel dashboards or Power BI.
Familiarity with
Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
development and maintenance best practices.
Certifications (Preferred)
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP).
Defense Acquisition University (DAU) or equivalent training in project controls or EVM.
Skills
Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights for leadership.
Detail-oriented, with strong time management and follow-through.
