Radiology Technologist Operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs and fluoroscopic procedures under the direction of a radiologist, supervisor, and lead technologists. Assist in the clinical instruction of radiography students and other personnel as needed. May be required to work a variety of shifts, weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis. Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT ARRT certified Licensed with the State of Vermont CT Technologist Performs a variety of computerized tomographic procedures under the supervision of the Radiologist, utilizing knowledge of ionizing radiation and computer techniques. Demonstrates concern for patients and co-workers at all times. Education Graduate from school of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JRCT Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or certified by NMTCB; CT certification preferred. Verification of college transcripts may be required; be prepared to provide a copy if invited for interview. Experience One year of full-time CT experience preferred. Staff Sonographer Performs diagnostic and/or breast ultrasound and other required modalities within department(s). Examinations are performed independently under physician supervision and with peer collaboration as appropriate. Mentors and educates all levels of staff; possesses applicable credentials and meets time/experience requirements. Education High school graduate or equivalent; graduate of a certified CAAHEP program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or Radiologic Technology with extensive ultrasound training. Active ARDMS registration with certification in abdomen or OB/GYN and/or breast. Experience One - five years paid scanning experience. Mammography Technologist Operate in the mammography area with proficiency in routine and diagnostic mammography; perform weekly quality control per FDA and ACR requirements; may assist in training others. May require weekend, holiday, and on-call duties. Education Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology; CAHEA/JERCT approval; ARRT certified; VT license or license eligible. Experience Has at least 1 year of radiology technologist experience and completed required radiology competencies. MRI Tech Perform imaging procedures using MRI technology; ensure safety regarding implants and patient comfort; operate under supervision of Radiologist and MRI Supervisor. Education Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology (CAHEA/JRCT). Advanced MRI certification (ARRT or ARMRIT) or plan to obtain within 2 years of hire; transcript verification may be requested. Experience Two years of cross-sectional imaging and/or computer-assisted imaging preferred; one year MR experience preferred. UVMMC is dedicated to patient care and collaboration.
