Patient Access Representative I – Part‑Time
The starting base rate for this role is $19.50/hr. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate’s previous work experience, education, and/or experience. External Candidates may be eligible for a $3,000 Sign On Bonus.
These jobs focus on managing the financial aspects of patient care, including billing, insurance claims, payment processing, financial counseling, utilization and revenue cycle analysis.
The role is responsible for managing patient entry points into the healthcare system, including scheduling, registration, and verifying insurance. Patient access staff ensure that patients can efficiently navigate administrative processes while maintaining data accuracy and enhancing the patient experience.
Individual contributors provide direct support to an organization, often executing operational, technical, or administrative functions under moderate supervision. Routine problems typically arise but may require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. The employee communicates information that may require explanation or interpretation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Job requires sitting for prolonged periods; repetitive motion (computer and mouse use). Requires proficient communicative skill across spoken, written domains, adequate hearing and vision, strong attention to detail, and the ability to write legibly and compose messages clearly and concisely.
Minimum Requirements
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent required. Associate’s Degree preferred.
Experience: 2 years relevant experience required. Access Associate fully cross‑trained to cover multiple specialties will be considered in lieu of the 2 years relevant experience.
Licensure: None required.
