Overview Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in Greenville, Texas. Our atmosphere is conducive to healing for adults and seniors. Our staff includes psychiatrists, nurses, social workers and therapists who work as a team to uphold Glen Oaks Hospital’s reputation for excellence in mental health and addiction care.

Responsibilities The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care and practices.

Position Hours 7pm - 7am, three nights per week, rotating weekends

Qualifications

Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification and training in appropriate use of Handle with Care (HWC) and Verbal De-escalation before on the unit orientation and prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must pass a medication administration exam and complete a basic developmental competency exam.
