BioLife Testing Laboratories aims to ensure the highest quality testing standards, support for plasma centers, and patient commitment in every action. Responsibilities
Responsible for sample results release, maintenance functions, and performing testing in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), applicable CFRs, and GMPs, with alignment to Takeda and BioLife quality initiatives. Coordinate and perform preventive maintenance on laboratory instrumentation according to SOPs and Instrument User\'s Manual; communicate with Laboratory Supervisor to ensure maintenance is completed within prescribed frequency and timelines. Review testing, quality control, and other reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance to ensure quality standards are met; release test data to Quality Assurance for batch release. Coordinate and release data from data reduction software for import into the Laboratory Information System; verify actions prior to export of results to the intermediary database. Review and respond to Nonconforming Material Reports from collection centers; perform entries into the National Donor Deferral System as required. Adhere to laboratory quality control policies; document all quality control activities, instrument/calibration maintenance, and procedures. Identify problems that may affect test performance or reporting; take corrective action or notify laboratory management; follow established corrective action policies and document actions taken when performance deviates. Perform the duties and responsibilities of a Lab Technician as needed; participate in validation of laboratory instrumentation and software under supervision; document validator and owner as required. Participate in operational excellence projects (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen) to drive continuous improvement and site operational excellence. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education: Essential: Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college/university in a biomedical discipline (Chemical, physical, biological, clinical lab science, or medical technology). Essential: OR Associate degree from an accredited college/university in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology. Desirable: Bachelor\'s degree in medical technology or an Associate degree in medical laboratory technology; 2–5 years of laboratory training or work experience preferred. MT or MLT certification from ASCP or other accredited certifying organization preferred. Compensation and Benefits
BioLife Compensation and Benefits Summary: We understand compensation is important; we are committed to equitable pay and transparent pay practices. U.S. hourly wage range for Location: USA - GA - Social Circle - Baxter Pkwy is $20.53 - $32.26. The actual range depends on qualifications, experience, and location, and will comply with state/local minimum wage requirements. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, and well-being benefits).
