Adjunct Faculty, Economics at Austin Community College. The Economics program offers on-campus, online, and dual credit student success courses across Central Texas. Responsibilities
Prepare and teach courses in Economics to a multicultural student population based on the department's approved course learning outcomes, using instructional strategies appropriate to community college students and disciplinary standards. Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback reflecting program learning outcomes and departmental expectations. Provide teaching and mentoring that does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, protected veteran status, political affiliation, or other protected categories. Remain current in the field through professional development activities. Perform other related tasks as assigned by the department chair, dean, or executive leadership.
Technology
Demonstrated proficiency using computer applications, online resources, and other classroom technologies. Demonstrated proficiency with an online learning management system (e.g., Blackboard Ultra) to develop course content and manage administrative duties (posting office hours, syllabi, etc.).
Principal Professional Standards
Meet deadlines for attendance certification and final course grades. Maintain regular office hours to assist students and improve retention and success. Model civility and collegiality in all interactions. Comply with college policies and professional standards for teaching in a community college. Appropriate use of the college's learning management system.
Required Education
Educational requirements in accordance with SACSCOC accreditation standards. No substitution for educational requirements. See Faculty Credentials at www.austincc.edu/facstaff/faculty-credentials. Minimum educational requirements include at least 18 graduate credit hours in ECONOMICS and a master’s degree. Note: An MBA without graduate-level Economics coursework does not meet minimum credentialing requirements under college and SACSCOC guidelines.
Other Requirements
Ability to travel to different ACC campuses and area high schools. All ACC employees must reside in Texas for the duration of employment.

Deep understanding of core economics theories, methods, and applications, with culturally relevant pedagogical approaches.
