Project Engineer - Heavy Civil Construction (Traveling) McMillen, Inc. is looking for a Project Engineer. Our Construction Engineers provide project planning, scheduling, procurement, and related technical and administrative support to lead individuals on the project. This position works closely with the project manager, superintendent, foremen, and crews to support the overall needs of the project. Your initial project assignment will be located in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

All construction division employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen. In accordance with client requirements, security clearance is required and is determined based on background check results.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduling of the project.

Manage revenue, cost, and cash flow.

Contract, manage, and coordinate sub‑contractors and product vendors.

Participate in the preparation and implementation of permanent design management and quality control.

Oversee project closeout.

Maintain close contact and good working relationships with client representatives.

Assist in Operations planning.

Administer contracts and subcontracts.

Train and direct Field Engineers.

Develop and maintain owner relations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree highly desired in Construction Management or Engineering.

10+ years of experience working as a Project Engineer in construction.

Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Excellent understanding of pre‑construction and construction processes.

Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

Respectfully takes direction and adheres to feedback from site superintendent and project managers.

Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance in accordance with project and company work hours.

Strong computer skills with MS Office; Primavera is a plus, Heavy Job/Heavy Bid is a plus.

Experience managing engineers.

Compensation Package

Pay Range: $105,000 – $115,000 (DOE)
