Overview We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Data Engineer
to join our team and lead the modernization of our data ecosystem. This role will focus on migrating on-premise systems to the cloud, consolidating data warehouses, and designing scalable architecture to support advanced analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in
Azure ,
data migrations , and
modern data warehouse design , along with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Migrate current on-premise systems to the cloud
Consolidate data warehouse and processes
Design new architecture models for specialty risk
Improve pipeline logic and automation
Implement reporting solutions
SQL Server migration to cloud
Use Databricks to consolidate pipelines
Participate in infrastructure and pipeline testing
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
* 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering with on-premise and cloud data platforms
* Highly effective in communicating complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
* Develop and improve existing data models to accurately represent end-to-end business processes, ensuring they're scalable and fully integrate with the extensive data architecture
* Proven experience designing and building large-scale data platforms.
* Implement best practices in data modeling, DevOps, ETL/ELT processes.
* Drive automation and CI/CD practice in data engineering workflows.
* Experience in Data Modeling tools such as Idera, ERWin
Preferred Skills:
* Expert level (hands-on) knowledge and understanding of recent versions of Microsoft SQL Server 2016, SSIS, Stored Procedures
* Strong expertise with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, Synapse Analytics
* Data Modelling - dimensional/reporting, data warehousing and transactional use cases (Physical and Logical modelling)
* Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, or equivalent
* Nice to Have
* Hands-on expertise with Snowflake and related technologies in the Snowflake ecosystem (dbt/Fivetran etc.) for both batch & streaming use cases.
* Experience in test automation tools & frameworks: Selenium, WebdriverIO, Appium, BrowserStack
The expected salary range for this role is ( $87,500.00 - $145,000.00 ). Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
