Lead Quantitative Analytics Associate About the Role Under some supervision, the Lead Quantitative Analytics Associate primarily uses statistics, advanced mathematical techniques, and/or computer science to develop and validate predictive and machine‑learning models for specific business needs. The role involves self‑directed data analysis and model building in response to a problem statement from a business partner. Success factors include timely completion of tasks, use of analytical programming languages and data literacy, effective communication of insights, and development of work autonomy.

Essential Job Functions

Conduct quantitative analysis, including hypothesis testing and root‑cause analysis on large data sets.

Support the working group by identifying required information and building data structures/transformations.

Use statistical analysis and machine‑learning to develop, maintain, and anticipate model implementation considerations.

Apply critical thinking to choose the right approach for each problem statement.

Anticipate business needs and continuously improve models and processes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in statistics, mathematics, economics, financial engineering, data sciences, predictive modeling, or a related quantitative discipline; 2+ years relevant experience; 1 year required if holding a Master’s or Ph.D.

Data Literacy

Create data structures and transformations.

Identify and capture different types of information for business needs or analysis.

Apply data controls and hypothesis testing/root‑cause analysis.

Leverage and anticipate considerations in model implementation.

Technology & Techniques

Advanced Microsoft Office Suite.

SQL/NoSQL querying and database management, including relationship data structures and ETL.

Advanced Python, R, or SAS for efficient coding, code controls, and high‑level commentary.

Cloud‑based and distributed computing concepts.

Model Building & Maintenance

Understand model use, requirements, and implementation needs.

Know model risk management processes and foundations.

Test for deterioration and model health.

Apply scaling and fundamental concepts of machine learning and statistical measurements.

Use advanced data techniques for modeling frameworks.

Produce and identify information through statistical analysis.

Explain model insights effectively to peers and the analytics community.

Select the preferred approach given the problem statement.

Compensation and Benefits This position is eligible for a base salary in the range of $71,000 – $122,000 annually. Placement may differ based on skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation also includes incentive options such as production, commission, and discretionary incentives.
