Senior Automation Engineer
to join one of our leading banking clients. This role is pivotal in shaping and scaling enterprise automation initiatives across infrastructure and operations teams. You’ll work in a collaborative, high-impact environment, designing and implementing automation solutions that drive efficiency and innovation. Responsibilities
Lead medium to large‑scale automation initiatives from ideation through execution and reporting.
Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions using
Ansible
and
Python
to streamline infrastructure and operations processes.
Administer and support orchestration platforms like
Rundeck Enterprise
and
AWX , including provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with and mentor infrastructure engineers on automation best practices and solution development.
Support migration of applications from Puppet and Rundeck to Ansible AWX.
Create Ansible playbooks for diverse business needs, including
F5 Load Balancer monitoring
and
ServiceNow integrations .
Develop playbooks to manage AWX configurations as code.
Provide production support by troubleshooting automation‑related issues and ensuring operational stability.
The ideal candidate
Strong proficiency in
Ansible automation
(designing, developing, and maintaining solutions—not just running scripts).
Solid experience with
Python , infrastructure automation, and orchestration.
Familiarity with
RESTful APIs ,
Git , and SDLC best practices.
Experience with orchestration platforms ( AWX ,
AAP ) and container technologies (e.g.,
OpenShift , CI/CD pipelines).
Knowledge of Agile/Waterfall methodologies and version control.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Experience with tools like
ADO ,
Visio ,
ServiceNow , and reporting tools such as
Tableau .
Ability to work onsite
4 days per week
in one of the following locations: Columbus, Minneapolis, Dallas, Chicago, Charlotte, or Detroit.
