The DT&A Department is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for its Data & Analytics Service, to be based in Memphis. As part of a dynamic IT organization undergoing transformational change, you will act as a change booster and play a key role in business process transformation to enable innovative and faster decision-making driven by analytic applications. Establish a relationship with business partners to analyze and understand their data and analytics needs, seeking opportunities to improve and transform business processes Be a key contributor for the successful deployment of various Data & Analytics products for the region/platform Act as a change agent to review and deploy process transformation on various Data & Analytics products for the region/platform Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Manage your solutions/products’ scope, processes and stakeholders Monitor adoption measures for processes and applications in your area and propose corrective actions when necessary Ensure an agile product backlog, roll outs, continuous improvement plan and deployments are defined and kept in sync with the global BI strategy Provide a support structure for your products and serve as the go-to person for traders’ users to drive adoption and embed analytics solutions in business processes Gather and translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and manage change requests Own delivery of parts of projects or programs within your scope and track metrics on time and on budget Ensure deliverables are properly documented with adequate reference materials Highlight implementation constraints and dependencies with other solutions to the solution manager Provide management with accurate and timely status reports of all projects/scope as assigned Assist business partners in integrating requirements into business processes to achieve expected outcomes Collaborate with business owners and external delivery partners to develop or support data and analytics products Support business partners in testing phases and organize training sessions as required Design and implement dimensional data models, star schemas, and semantic layers optimized for analytics and reporting Experience
3-5 years of proven experience in a business analyst role on analytics projects Project management experience in small to medium projects with ability to report status and risks Experience in commodities trading domain (middle office or controlling processes) is a strong plus (Position Reporting, Daily P&L, Execution, Risk Exposure, etc.) Experience defining KPIs and storytelling visual analytics is a plus Client-facing experience is a plus Technical Skills
Understanding of global enterprise data management systems Knowledge of front-end and data visualization tools for analytics (dashboards, cockpit views, reports); familiarity with Microsoft Power BI and/or Tableau Design and development skills on data structures and data flow for ETL, data warehousing, and data modeling; familiarity with Microsoft Azure and MSSQL or similar technologies Knowledge of business rules coding, scripting, and BI systems architecture is a plus Soft Skills
Ability to move across multiple projects and prioritize many open cases Curiosity and eagerness to understand complex business processes Quick learner, able to ramp up in new domains, work independently Excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills Strong analytical, synthesis and communication abilities; ability to negotiate and influence internally and externally Education
Higher education in IT, Engineering, Math, Physics; others considered with proven IT experience Language
