Las Ventanas Homes is a fourth‑generation, family‑owned builder based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We specialize in high‑end custom homes and design‑build projects, as well as casitas (accessory dwelling units) that reflect the character and lifestyle of New Mexico. Our team collaborates daily to deliver an exceptional experience for every client, from first sketch to final walkthrough and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily on‑site operations for multiple high‑end custom home projects from foundation through final punch list.
Coordinate, schedule, and follow up with trade partners and suppliers to keep projects on time and on budget.
Maintain a high level of quality control, verifying work against plans, specifications, and Las Ventanas standards.
Conduct regular site walks to monitor progress, identify issues early, and implement solutions proactively.
Ensure job sites are safe, organized, and clean, sweeping, picking up, and pitching in as needed.
Build strong working relationships with trade partners to help secure reliable labor in a competitive market.
Collaborate with the Project Manager on schedules, inspections, change orders, and project milestones.
Use our construction management software (Buildertrend) to review schedules, update progress, document issues, and communicate with the office.
Participate in inspections, walkthroughs, and occasional client interactions with professionalism and warmth.
Enforce jobsite safety protocols and ensure compliance with all applicable building codes and regulations.
Create and manage punch lists and oversee completion to Las Ventanas' quality standards.
Qualifications
2 to 3 or more years of experience in residential construction, preferably as a site superintendent, assistant superintendent, lead carpenter, or similar role.
Strong preference for a high‑end, custom home experience.
Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and detail drawings.
Solid understanding of residential building systems and sequences (foundation, framing, mechanicals, finishes, inspections, etc.).
Comfort using construction management software; experience with Buildertrend is a plus.
Honest, dependable, and committed to doing what you say you'll do.
Organized and able to see the whole home from a set of plans, anticipating needs and planning ahead.
Strong communication skills with trade partners, office staff, and clients.
Solutions‑oriented and calm under pressure.
Valid driver's license and insurable driving record (company truck provided for work use).
Ability to travel between job sites in the Albuquerque area (generally within ~30 miles).
Ability to move around active construction sites and occasionally lift materials (e.g., up to 50 lbs.) with or without reasonable accommodation.
Compensation & Benefits
Full‑time, W-2 Employee position.
Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
