Job Summary
The Warehouse Team Lead at JD.com will play a crucial role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of goods, and leading a team to achieve productivity and quality targets. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to operational excellence within a fast‑paced e-commerce environment.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse associates, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training and guidance.
Ensure accurate and timely receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products according to JD.com’s standards and procedures.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Identify and resolve discrepancies.
Operate and maintain warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently, and conduct basic troubleshooting.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., logistics, customer service) to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
Implement and enforce JD.com’s quality control standards for all inbound and outbound shipments.
Generate daily/weekly reports on team productivity, order fulfillment, and other key performance indicators.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Conduct performance reviews for team members and provide constructive feedback for development.
Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a dynamic environment.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, reach trucks) with valid certification preferred.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.
