The Project Coordinator position at Murray Company will have the opportunity to provide administrative support to facilitate the planning and coordinating of activities of designated projects, and to ensure that goals or objectives of a project are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters. This role will be based out of our Prefabrication Shop & Warehouse to specifically support our Advanced Technologies division which specializes in high‑purity process piping, tool install, plumbing and mechanical projects across different locations and states.
Location Rancho Dominguez, CA 90221
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the coordination of project activities to insure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget measurement.
Prepare special reports, studies, and statistical analysis per supervisor’s request. Such items would usually require research, development and/or interpretation of data and be performed with little supervision or instruction.
Maintain information to produce submittals, logs, correspondence.
May be required to control a specific type of material or equipment, depending on particular assignment.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
Qualifications Required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, preferably adept in Excel.
Proficiency in or ability to adopt and operate inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
Ability to perform a variety of duties, which may change frequently as project needs alter.
Perform mathematical operations quickly and accurately.
Work within set limits and standards of accuracy.
Use logical step‑by‑step procedures in work.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field of study and/or craft / trade experience in the construction field.
Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Knowledge of programming language.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an active prefabrication shop environment with noise, dust and varying temperatures.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Must have sufficient to read printed and digital documents.
Must be able to climb ladders, access and egress trenches and/or attic spaces and/or confined spaces.
Requires hearing ability to communicate in noisy environments.
Must be able to recognize alarms, signals, and verbal instructions.
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
Ability to grasp, handle, and manipulate small objects.
Compensation $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
