Network Administrator
Job Overview Apply expertise in analytical, advisory, and technical analysis work to Air Force client activities. Maintain responsibility for ensuring the 24/7/365 continuity of classified and unclassified mission planning cell (MPC) networks. Support the operations and maintenance of a sophisticated multi‑domain command and control system and the design and deployment of new capabilities. Monitor, patch, and update workstations, servers, and virtual machines; design and deploy system upgrades and enhancements; create and maintain system documentation; diagnose and solve system problems; and support users.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a network administrator
Knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, and UNIX
Knowledge of computing infrastructures
Knowledge of hardware or software troubleshooting
Knowledge of Windows and UNIX operating systems
Ability to work 24/7 shifts rotating between days, swings, and mids
TS/SCI clearance
High school diploma or GED
DoD 8570 certification, including Security+ CE, SSCP, or GSEC certification
Nice if you have
Experience with scripting, programming, and coding
Experience with Java or .NET programming and high‑performance computing (HPC)
Experience in project leadership or project management in an IT domain
Experience with license managers in a Windows or UNIX environment
Experience with Windows Server administration, shell scripting, VMWare virtualization, Cisco networking equipment, network monitoring and logging tools, and thin or zero client solutions
Knowledge of fundamental networking or distributed computing environment concepts
Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Exchange, Lync, and Symantec NetBackup and Backup Exec
