experienced Production Electrical Technician
that will install, wire, and test electrical systems on heavy equipment to join our manufacturing team in
South Milwaukee, WI. At our South Milwaukee facility, you’ll be part of a team that builds some of the largest and most powerful mining machines in the world. This facility specializes in the production of Cat® Electric Rope Shovels (ERS) used in mining operations around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, layout, and install electrical components and systems using schematics and engineering drawings Use hand and power tools, bending/threading machines, and cranes to position and install wiring and equipment Measure, cut, and run wire and conduit; connect pre-wired components and complete circuits Strip, splice, solder, and connect terminals, lugs, and hardware Perform functional and diagnostic tests using voltmeters, watt meters, phase sequence meters, tachometers, and stroboscopes Troubleshoot and adjust electrical systems to meet specifications Lead and support others in installing and testing rotating, relay, and electronic circuits
Required Qualifications
Experience with electrical tools: drills, pliers, wire strippers, soldering equipment, cranes, etc. Familiarity with electrical components: conduits, wires, cables, fittings, grease, oil, and hardware Ability to read and interpret
schematics, wire diagrams, and blueprints Working knowledge of
high, medium, and low-pressure hydraulic and automated lube systems 3–5 years of electrical assembly experience
in a manufacturing or industrial setting
Preferred Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to close tolerances Ability to work independently and in a team environment Commitment to safety and quality standards Willingness to work overtime to meet production demands
