Responsibilities
Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
Monitor Contractor progress against the project schedule
Negotiate the settlement of changes and claims
Prepare contract change orders
Coordinate outside agency support of the contractor schedule
Monitor Contractor Quality Control efforts through daily inspections
Oversee and coordinate staff functions
Assign inspectors tasks
Hold weekly coordination meetings with contractor
Assure maintenance of project records, files, and "as-built" data
Prepare and issue daily and weekly resident engineer's reports
Calculate and document field quantities for payment purposes
Monitor and enforce Contractor Safety Program
Perform constructability review and provide comments on design packages
Coordinate the design, permits, and agreements with stakeholders
Perform duties as the owner representative directed by the project manager or construction manager
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Construction Management on transit and transportation projects of at least $30 Million
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the management of major construction projects
Registered Professional Engineer, preferred
Authorized to work in the USA
Rail experience a plus!
